WHAT WILL IT COST?

All promotion is through our website with fantastic facilities for e-promotion and the ability to liaise directly with our clients. Although there will be no charge to join Bubblegum (unlike most agencies), since 1st November 2008 entry onto our website is advised as this is the only way we can effectively promote your child to their full potential. To enter a model onto our website the cost is £160.00 for children of 16 years and under which will include marketing, z-card creation and promotion for the following 12 months from date of entry. We are also pleased to announce that this cost will include professional studio photographs and a copy of all your photos taken on disc format. You will need to attend one of our in-house photo-sessions, which we hold at Pinewood Studios on a regular basis. For further information on bookings call us on: 01753 642673. It is at the photographic shoot where we also first meet you and have an informal chat to cover any further questions or queries you may have about joining the agency.

LICENSES

If your child gets chosen for a job (not a casting or audition, but a final job) and they are under 16 years of age, they will require a licence in order to work. It is your responsibility to obtain the licence for your child. Licences must be obtained from your local council. Although licence applications can take up to 21 days to process, in our experience the usual turnaround is 7 days as long as they have all the correct documentation. When a licence is required we ask that you deliver or send all licence applications directly to the council. We will provide you with the relevant address and contact details of your council. We are also happy to answer any questions you have on licensing and help you with the process. We ask that you start the application process as soon as a job has been confirmed. We keep a copy of all required documentation on our records so that in extreme circumstances, where you cannot apply to the council directly yourself, we can do this on your behalf.

Along with your registration form, please complete the following and return to us ASAP:

- Completed 'Part II' application form (Do not date this)
- Photocopy of child's Birth Certificate
- 2 Passport photos of child (2 are required per application)
- School letter (if child is of school age)
- Medical certificate (this is valid for 6 months from the date signed)

TIPS FOR AUDITIONS

Models must always have clean clothes in good condition. These should be fairly plain and not have any major pattern and no obvious logos. All models should have shoes as well as trainers. Girls must have a selection of hair accessories, but no earrings. Make-up and nail varnish should not be worn. It is worth having books/toys to occupy young children at auditions where there can be a lot of waiting around. Drinks and non-sticky snacks should also be carried as studios are not obliged to provide these. Only one parent/chaperone will be permitted at the studios therefore you must have someone you can leave any other children with in order for you to accompany a model.

OFFICE HOURS

Our office hours are 10.00am till 5.30pm, Monday to Friday. We are often at our busiest between the periods of 10.00am-11.30am and 4.00pm-5.30pm. Unless we have asked you to, please do not call during these peak hours but alternatively send us any queries/enquiries via email to: info@bubblegummodels.com.

PAYMENTS

We must impress upon you that although money can be earned through modeling, it is an accepted fact that Clients, Ad Agencies and Photographers pay their fees out at infrequent intervals.

Generally speaking it is common practice for a client to pay as much as six months or longer in arrears. Along with other agencies we cannot accept anyone on our books who does not understand this situation. Please keep a note of all castings and jobs you attend and the length of time you are there and if possible always get a signature to prove your attendance. Model fees that have been received are paid out quarterly. Our books are closed 20 working days prior to payment of models at the end of each quarter. Should the sum of money be less than £20 it will be carried forward to the next quarter. Any bank charges that are levied by foreign or UK banks will be passed on and deducted from the payment. When a payment is made to you, you will receive a payment slip advising you of this. Fees are only paid out when they have been received and cleared through our bank. Please ensure you fill in the Bank Details section on the back of your registration form with your correct information. Any enquiries regarding your model account must be made in writing or by email and we will attempt to answer such enquiries within 10 working days of receipt. Enquiries should be made to: accounts@bubblegummodels.com.

HELP US HELP YOU

As children grow continually, we require updated photographs and regular updates on your child’s measurements. If we do not have current details of your child it makes it much harder for us to promote them and put them forward for appropriate jobs. It is your responsibility to keep us updated on all details. We are very happy to receive updated photos and measurements on email and ask if you can send us all information this way if possible. We will always contact you first on a landline number, which you must provide us as your primary contact number.

We ask also that you have an answer-phone. We do avoid calling mobiles due to financial consequence, (we will of course contact you on your mobile however if notice is very short and we cannot get hold of you on any landlines). We ask also that you supply us with an email address. This is particularly useful when we need to get new licence application forms to you as it can save 2 days from mailing the forms. Email is also the method we use if you require written confirmation of job details, call sheets, times and locations etc.
